Paving on Rt 104, Town of Ontario through November 2022

  • Construction is beginning on a project to resurface NY-104 from the Monroe – Wayne County Line to Furnace Road in town of Ontario, Wayne County. The project includes traffic signal improvements from Basket Road in the town of Webster, Monroe County, to Furnace Road in the town of Ontario, Wayne County.   • NY-104 will remain open to traffic during construction. Short term lane closures will be utilized during paving operations. Paving will occur during both daytime and nighttime hours. Construction is scheduled for completion by November 2022. Motorists will be kept informed with variable message signs and temporary work zone traffic control signs on site.     • Enhancing pavement condition and rideability 
    • Providing new pavement marking and crosswalks
    • Upgrading guiderails
    • Enhancing pedestrian accommodations including curb ramps & pads
    • Installing new traffic signals at:
      • Basket Road
      • County Line Road
      • Dean Parkway
      • Lakeside Road
      • Slocum Road
      • Ontario Center Road
    • Upgrading traffic signals at Knickerbocker Road and Furnace Road
